I am fascinated by how our brains make decisions in a social context and its impact on our health and well-being. In Platt Lab, I am looking at the neural processes underlying the choices we make for others based on our understanding of their preferences and also those that we make in the presence of others, for example, in a group.

This I Believe

Our emotional lives matter. We need to understand how.
